Not everybody can adopt a pet, which is why sponsoring an animal from the Humane Society Dawson is a great alternative for animal lovers who would like to support a special animal. We will e-mail you their story and picture, as well as keep you updated on their progress at the shelter. You can visit with your sponsor animal to provide them with some love and attention, and if it is a dog, you can bring him or her out for a walk during our public hours.

You can sponsor as many shelter animals as you like. If your animal gets adopted into a forever home, you can stop your sponsorship or choose another animal to sponsor. A sponsorship makes a great gift or tribute in honor or memory of a loved one.

Sponsorship costs $10.00 a month.

You can either send a cheque by mail made out to the Humane Society Dawson, or you can come in for a visit and pay cash at the animal shelter.

Where does the money go?

Your money will support all the animals at the shelter. It will be used towards food, veterinary needs and whatever else our animals need to be comfortable.
