Spay and Neuter Incentive Program

The Humane Society Dawson is excited to announce that we have reinstated our Spay and Neuter Incentive Program (S.N.I.P.). SNIP is a joint effort between the Humane Society and the City of Dawson.

If you are a resident of a Yukon Community (not Whitehorse) and you’re looking to get a female dog spayed, you may be eligible for the Yukon Government’s Community Spay Fund discount of $300. Check it out here.

For male dogs and all cats, Dawson residents can apply to our SNIP program.

Spaying or neutering your pet greatly reduces problems such as aggression, roaming, breeding unwanted litters, and it helps keep pet overpopulation down. SNIP is designed to help those in need of financial assistance with the cost of spaying or neutering their animal by providing a $300 discount for dogs and $200 discount for cats on the total cost..
